Kirkwood Mission

Living the World of Jesus Christ by Providing a safe, nurturing, caring Christian community that energizes and transforms children and adults in a tranquil, natural setting.

Kirkwood Camp and Conference Center, owned and operated by the Presbytery of Philadelphia, consists of 286 acres with such diversity as large meadows for games, a large pond for boating, swimming and hiking, trails winding through laurel hammocks, piney forests, and stands of hardwood. The highlights of this site include the suspension bridge which crosses Big Pocono Creek which is suitable for tubing, fly fishing and environmental studies, as well as “the ridge” which gives a majestic view of the Pocono Mountains including the Delaware Water Gap. As a camper once said, “Camp would not be camp without a ridge and a bridge”.
